11th region Week 5 rankings and review

Featured Replies

I was 100% ready to move Lexington Catholic to #1 in the rankings and then they got beat by 20 at home to Lyon County. Great Crossing also got their first loss of season out of state as well. Henry Clay remains undefeated at 13-0 but has not played the competition of the top two. Let's get to the rankings.

1.Great Crossing(12-1)

2.Lexington Catholic(12-1)

3.Henry Clay(13-0)

4.Bryan Station(11-1)

5.Madison Southern(10-3)

6.Frederick Douglass(7-5)

7.Sayre(9-2)

8.Lexington Christian(6-5)

9.Franklin County(7-5)

10.Paul Lawrence Dunbar(5-8)

11.Madison Central(4-9)

12.Scott County(5-9)

13.Berea(8-4)

14.Model(6-8)

15.Lafayette(5-9)

16.Western Hills(4-10)

17.Tates Creek(1-11)

18.Frankfort(2-5)

The top 2 are the ones getting all the buzz obviously and for right reasons. But you can not over look Henry Clay, Bryan Station, Madison Southern and Frederick Douglass is a contender once they get healthy and have their whole team. With all that being said I would still be surprised if anyone besides Great Crossing or Lexington Catholic won the region to be honest.

The 42nd district is one of the best in the state most years but based on this ranking it is going to be a gauntlet this season with 4 of the 5 teams in the district are currently ranked in the top 6.
