Jags Looking To Break Pulaski's Grip

Records: Pulaski (2-5) | NL (3-3)

Week 7 Results: Pulaski lost to Madison Central | NL beat South Laurel

Series History: Pulaski County leads 17-2 all-time

Burning Question: Can the Jags get one over on Johnny Hines? It's been a minute. Pulaski County is 14-1 against North Laurel with Hines patrolling the sideline wuth the '1' coming back in 2011. The Jaguars have beaten the other district stalwart, Southwestern, four times since then, but the Maroons have remained beyond their reach. That's been especially true lately, with the last six meetings being decided by an average margin of four scores.

This is shaping up to be NL's year. Pulaski isn't vintage and the Jags have been stout, defensively. But… if John Hines knows how to beat anyone, it's North Laurel.

North Laurel has not beaten Pulaski County since 2009. This season, the Jaguars are bigger, stronger, and more experienced than the Maroons.

Along with that, the North Laurel defense has looked excellent all year. However, they haven’t faced an offense quite like Pulaski thus far.

The issue in this game lies in whether or not the NL can score. Their offense has been lackluster all season and they will need to have a big week to end the streak of 11-straight losses to PC.

I’ll take the Jags in a close one—but I wouldn’t be surprised by a result in the other direction.
