East's ground game starting from the second quarter on was really demoralizing to DC. Parsley had an effective game offensively, but his biggest impact was playing free safety last night. Kid can play some ball.

DC held strong on defense for the most part for about 2 1/2 quarters before the wheels came off, so to speak. I'd imagine they got worn down over the course of the game with how physical the game was. I did expect this to be a little closer at the end of the day. I don't know whether to attest the shutout to the Raiders' stingy defense last night or simply the ineptitude of the DC offense. The answer is probably somewhere in the middle.

East will travel to Barren County next Friday to take on crosstown opponent 5A Greenwood, where they will likely be an underdog. I give them a punchers chance, but it will be a tough matchup.
