Lincoln County vs Boyle County Predictions/Updates

Featured Replies

In a tale as old as time, Lincoln County and Boyle County face off for the 45th district championship. Boyle got the win at Boyle, Lincoln got the win at Lincoln during the regular season.

Lincoln has been a little off the past few weeks, Boyle has looked as good as they have the whole season the past few weeks with the motor of Tarter and Quisenberry finding his footing from football season.

Who ya got and why?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but think I seen Lincoln has won last 10 district Finals they've been apart of.  I think the trend continues tonight.  Lincoln Co. 52-46.  I was super impressed with Lincoln's role players Wed. night.  Connor Davis, Nuckles and Jack Sims all had huge moments for the Pats.  The whole is always greater than sum of the parts for the Patriots!

It seems like Lincoln has a whole team full of role players. I don’t mean any disrespect to Alcorn or Ralston in saying that because I know that they can score 20+ on any given night. I mean that as  compliment to their whole rotation, to their overall unselfishness and to Jackson’s system. As I was watching Sims hit that corner three to basically win the game against Danville, I just knew he would hit it. I would just as soon have had him take it as anyone on that roster. And he was one that was referenced above as being a role player.

Pats pull ahead late second half and keep the momentum rolling. Boyle will make a run but LC 57 BC 50.

The greatest strength of Coach Jackson as a coach is not schematics.  It truly is the buzz word "culture" and the belief that team is greater than individual.

And "a shooter in the corner," which happened again on Wednesday night against Danville!

Every kid on the floor for Lincoln can shoot the 3. That's been another staple of nearly every team he has coached. So many high school teams have a player or 2 labeled as "non-shooters" but Lincoln just typically doesn't have that same notion. I know in practices, there are A LOT of shooting drills done throughout.

Yes staples of the program the last 20 years is really good PG play and high level 3 Pt shooting.  When you have that, the game becomes more simple.  Lincoln has not had good interior play really ever, but they don't need it in this region.

The PG play makes it virtually impossible to come back if behind in 4th Q.  Their opponent tonight has a pretty darn good one too though!
