Can someone give some detail on the Yeast young lady from Mercer voted Co-Player of the Year from the 12th, but only playing in one game?  Thanks in advance.

2,000 points 1,000 rebounds before her senior year.  Tore her ACL in scrimmage before senior started.  No senior in 12th region has anywhere near her stats.

Is there precedence for a player having a "Player of the Year" award for a career achievement?  She certainly sounds like the most talented senior in the region when healthy, by a wide margin, I'm just wondering if this has happened before or are we blazing new trails.

Dontaie Allen won Mr. Basketball and only played 13 games his senior year because of injury.  Don’t you have to win region player of the year to be eligible for Mr./Mrs. basketball? It seems region player of the year and Mr./Mrs basketball is chosen from career stats and not senior year alone.
