A lot more consistency in this week's edition, with the top 7 remaining in place and 8-10 all nudging up in place of a falling Western team.  Western, Trinity, and Evangel Christian all see adjustments after recent losses - to varying degrees of "bad" - that aren't being offset by quality wins.  It's approaching put up or shut up time for each.  Harlan and PRP are both beneficiaries of drops in front of them to rise up the ranks.  Harlan County makes their debut, the latest team to try their hand at filling in the last rank(s) after Owensboro Catholic takes a double digit loss to Ohio County in their lone ranked week.

Who is too high? Who is too low? Who should be in, who should be out?

Frederick Douglas, McCracken and PRP are really benefiting from relatively lighter schedules. PRPs does get a lot tougher down the stretch…

Moving on to next week: 

Was looking for Ballard to move up. Don't think a road loss to Male should drop them lower.  

Speaking of Male, the Ballard win should move them into the Top 20, even with a 13-10 record. Has anyone played a tougher schedule than the Bulldogs? 

Are DeSales and/or Butler worthy of moving back into the Rankings? Say goodbye to PRP, Harlan, and Harlan County?

I'm big on SoS. PRP's best wins, I think, are over St. X at home seven weeks ago or at Manual at the start of the year - neither is a Top 20 team. 

The loss to Central at home in the LIT was a bad one. They've lost to the team ranked two slots below them, Evangel too. Since their Central loss, their schedule has been pillowy soft. Free throw shooting in close games will be their Achilles heel.

Tbh, I think they're a fringe Top 40 team. At this point J'town is as close to the BGP Top 20 as PRP. Panthers will need to beat Seneca, Butler, and make a good showing at home vs. Male to show me they belong here.

They also beat Central by 27 at Central as well. Honestly I chalk their loss to Central up to one of those weird Louisville games that seem to happen to everyone, in addition to the strange things that can happen in tournaments. They beat J’town by 11 as well. And not to split hairs, but neither of their games against X or Manual are as long ago as you think. 
 

I do agree that they really need to stick the landing in those other games.

Good points and we'll said. It must be a challenge to balance a season's body of work with, "what have you done for me lately," in placing these teams each week. 

The best weekly rankings imo are still always found here at BGP. Kudos.
