Travis Jones Named Greenup County Coach

Travis Jones, Offensive Coordinator, has been name Head Football Coach at Greenup County.  This comes after Zach Moore stepped away after taking the Assistant Principal job at the high school.  Greenup County does not allow principles to coach sports.  

Coach Moore did an excellent job of building the program as well as the coaching staff in preparation of his departure.  Coach Moore went 8-5 in his final season, making it to the third round of the playoffs for the first time for the program in 15 years.  

Coach Jones was a big part of the recent success at Greenup County, while he was the quarterbacks coach and OC.  Coach Jone's Eli Sammons will return for his Junior season at QB in 2023.

A little birdie told me Greenup County had 53 junior high players show up for their first day of weight lifting today.  I would say there are some excited people at Greenup County.  Coach Jones is young, energetic and has everyone's attention.
