Sturm finally called it quiets, his daughter that played for Dixie was a Senior this last season. I have a feeling it was time for him to ride off into the sunset along with his daughter graduating.

No idea on Dean, I think like most people, when Dean was hired as an assistant that was potentially the play for him to assist Sturm on his last season and then have an easy transition to a proven winner with Dean. I will love to find out if Dean interviewed and just didn't wow the Administration or did Dean find greener pastures elsewhere, or is he just content to stay on staff for Kellie and play that type of assisting role.

And yes, Kellie Ponchak is in fact the wife of the Highlands Varsity Boys coach Brandon Ponchak. Makes for an interesting relationship at the kitchen table.

Kellie has been on the staff for 3 years now, I think. Her freshmen teams have been successful over those 3 years. The girls and parents absolutely love her, and that goes a long way.

You're going to see a change in culture and style of play. As long as they continue to have the talent in the system, they will become a realistic threat to NDA and Highlands now. This is a good hire for Dixie, and I wish Kellie the best in her new role.
