Highlands was able to slip one by with around 4 min left in the first half.  It was a nice assist by Cavacini to Laney Smith who made a perfect left footed strike to the far right post which was just out of the reach of the diving Conner keeper.

Was a very physical game from both sides.  It just seemed like Conner never really got anything going offensively and was just playing hard solid defense the whole game and was just hoping for something lucky to break which it never did.

Great season to Conner and especially thanks for the commentary from @Defense_Wins_Games all season long.  

 

The one interesting tidbit of this game is unfortunately Coach Norris got a Yellow Card but it wasn't because of something he said it was something the Assistant Coach Andy said.  

KHSAA rules state that the Head Coach gets the card for anything that any of the staff says or does.....

Luckily nothing else got escalated.....Moving on

Didn't seem to be any love for the center ref from either side in the stands that's for sure!

We struggled finding that consistent offensive threat all year.  We are young upfront but have no doubt the Lady Cougars will be strong for the next couple of years.  We were kinda bruised up at the end going into the post season, however taking nothing away from Highlands, they are a great team!  Good luck tomorrow!

Did Juliet play / effectively last night?  I hate that she has been nicked up this year.  I'm a huge fan of hers, and can't wait to watch her play this winter for the basketball team.

She did play, she played the entire game.  I would say she's played the last two games at about 80%.  Bring on the hoops!
