BUMP!!!!

Moving this thread to the top of the pile......should be a fun weekend!

I'll post results whenever I see them out there.....

BIG GAME right out of the gate with Highlands vs Cov Cath!!!

Highlands won 1-0 in the Regular season game almost a month ago.....

Conner and Cov Cath advance to play each other at 9am Saturday morning.

Ryle and Beechwood advance.
Cooper advances to play Brossart

Boone gets the bye and advances to play I’m assuming Holy Cross.

Conner/Cov Cath winner plays Boone/Holy Cross winner.

Cooper/Brossart winner plays  Ryle/Beechwood winner.

All 4 33rd district teams advance with Boone doing so via the bye.

Covington Catholic advances on PK shootout 5-4 vs Conner.

Very competitive game, only gripe I have is this game only had one ref to start and 2 for the whole game.  If the NKBSCAA is going to do a tournament like this (and I’m thankful that they do) let’s have 3 refs for each game. The young men deserve it.

Cooper defeats Bishop Brossart and Beechwood defeats Ryle.

Looks like Cov Cath beat 2 of the 4 tier I teams this weekend. Not sure who they play next. (Boone or HC)

From what I understand, this is the furthest the Cov Cath JV team has gotten in Regional play in a few years. Good luck.

Good for Cov Cath!

I noticed a few other results that would challenge my ranking: Ryle over Dixie, Cooper needing PKs to get by NCC. I believe Holmes took HC to PKs as well (Frosh/JV mix teams).

Holmes is / was ranked 156 in the state and 3655 nationally.

NCC is / was ranked 14th in state and 163rd nationally.

This just solidifies the saying "Every dog has it's day; and some get two."

I’m not aware of any state and national rankings for JV teams. Varsity yes, JV…usually rankings are just made up by us parents for JV.

You're correct. Those are varsity ratings. But I use it as a way to judge the strength of a schools overall program. I did not mean to insinuate otherwise.
