If anyone has info on Our Lady of Mount Carmel, please chime in. I couldn't pinpoint where they're from.

Liberty Creek is a new school here in Sumner County.  The majority of their players will be freshmen mixed in with a few Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors kids rezoned from Beech, Gallatin & Station Camp.  They are opening with about 600-700 students and are not in a Region (District in Kentucky) for 2022.  They will be slotted into D1 (public) Class AAAA for the 2023 season.  They have benefited from a County rule that allows any rising 9th grader in the County to enroll at Liberty Creek (there is no out-of-zone allowed in Sumner County).  New Head Coach is a long time coordinator at Beech.  Facilities at this new school are impressive.

Any idea what Kentuckians, and Crittenden County in particular, should expect from Liberty Creek in its first year? Is Sumner County a talent rich area?

Devil;

Sumner County has very strong football.  Beech has been Class 5A Champs in Class 5A 2009 & 2012, Hendersonville Runners-Up several times.  Gallatin had multiple State Champions in the 1970s.  That being said, Liberty Creek is a first year program and to my knowledge doesn't have a lot of players in the Soph. thru Sr. classes rezoned from those above mentioned programs.  They have about 70 kids out for football but I feel a majority will be freshmen.  Only about 350 of their students are actually "in zone" as this new facility was built in an area that currently doesn't have a lot of population.  However, it's in a very high growth area that will fill the school (built to accommodate 1,800 - 2,000 students) in the 3-5 year horizon.  That is why the County allowed rising freshmen to go there out-of-zone.  My understanding is their goal was to open with 750 students and bringing in lots of 9th graders would help reach that number.  100+ million for the high school and elementary school being opened in August 2022.  Middle School to open in 2025.

According to the Crittenden County football website, Our Lady of Mount Carmel is from Baltimore (it says Pennsylvania on the schedule but Baltimore in the article). Their nickname is the Cougars and they finished 6-3 last season. I don't know anything about the Maryland structure but their Calpreps rating was -15.6, which puts them roughly on par with Kentucky teams like Shelby County (larger) and Frankfort (smaller). Probably a solid opponent but also one Crittenden County should traditionally defeat.

Calpreps' Predict a Matchup from last season says Crittenden County would defeat Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 24-23.

I came across the Maryland OLMC, but their schedule is apparently incomplete. Crittenden wasn't on it. Thanks!

It appears this has now been updated. No more Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Instead, Crittenden County will be hosting DeSales on October 28 (DeSales had an opening after their game with Ryle was canceled).
