Woodford County 12 DeSales 9 (KHSAA State Tournament First Round)

Featured Replies

The Yellow Jackets pile on seven runs in the 6th to rally from a four run deficit. They advance to play Boyd County in the quarterfinals.

Games like that are tough in a tournament. I don't know the pitching details. but from the score my guess is Woodford will have fewer options available on the mound on Saturday.

Only two pitchers used today for Woodford. Their ace was pulled after just 23 pitches, but his relief threw 115.

115 is entirely too many pitches for any hs pitcher.

I agree. I had to look up the pitch count for Kentucky yesterday. The max number a high school pitcher can throw in this state (and most other states) is 120. That's a lot for a young arm.
