Happy 80th birthday to Coach Kenney Shields!

Coach compiled a 766-427 record coaching high school and college basketball in Northern Kentucky during his 39-year career.

Shields started his head coaching career at St. Thomas, then at Highlands High School, where he won 261 games and five Ninth Region championships in 13 seasons.

His success on the high school level led to him becoming the head coach at NKU. Love Coach Shields!  He’s an NKY treasure.

Over 10 years and 10 games into ‘21-‘22, Scott Ruthsatz has 289 wins, 5 region titles and 2 state titles.  Not quite 13 years yet, but hopefully, on the way.
