This weeks offers us another big time BluegrassPreps 1A Top 10 matchup. This is also has big time district implications.  Sayre is coming off it’s first loss of the season to #1 Pikeville 43-7. Sayre will look to rebound as they will host another 1A Power in Hazard this week.  Hazard comes into this matchup at 5-3 on the season with losses to Middlesboro, Letcher County Central, and Danville. Hazard did pick up a district win last week over Phelps 46-6 to put them at 1-0 in district play. So all eye will be here at on Friday night.

Who wins this big time district matchup? Does Sayre rebound after last weeks lost? Does Hazard come to Lexington Friday and be set up for a big time district matchup next week with rival Pikeville?

We'll find out what kind of fight Sayre has after getting their bell rung at Pikeville. Unless the Panthers completely snatched Sayre's soul away, this should be a much more competitive game.

Hazard's offense has been hot and cold this year. They've averaged 9 points per game against ranked opponents. They need to bring it this week.

This is probably the first of two meetings this season.
