DevilMayCare Posted September 25, 2021 Posted September 25, 2021 It's 3-0 Badgers, early. Notre Dame's offensive line is under siege already.
DevilMayCare Posted September 25, 2021 Author Posted September 25, 2021 The Irish had a great looking drive going that completely fell apart and resulted in a missed field goal. Coan was in rhythm, but they went away from the pass inside the 10. That's Mayer time.
theguru Posted September 25, 2021 Posted September 25, 2021 ND stopped the Badgers right around the 20, ND ball. End of 1st Q. Wis 3 ND 0
DevilMayCare Posted September 25, 2021 Author Posted September 25, 2021 Doerer makes good on a 51 yard field goal attempt. Tied at 3 7:50 in 2Q

Everything about Notre Dame vs. Wisconsin (two historically blue collar midwestern programs) at Soldier Field screams low scoring game to me. 1
DevilMayCare Posted September 25, 2021 Author Posted September 25, 2021 ND turns Wisconsin over at midfield. Maybe some momentum building for the Irish?
DevilMayCare Posted September 25, 2021 Author Posted September 25, 2021 Long ball from Coan to Kevin Austin for a touchdown is under review... It's confirmed. Touchdown Irish. 10-3 ND 4:48 in 2Q 1

DevilMayCare Posted September 25, 2021 Author Posted September 25, 2021 Impressive drive by Mertz and the Badgers to tie the game at 10.
DevilMayCare Posted September 25, 2021 Author Posted September 25, 2021 Notre Dame has been so good on the o-line in recent years, but they're atrocious this year. There have been some key injuries to that unit, but still... it's ugly up front right now.

A backup QB plus a bad o-line is not a recipe for victory. Still tied at 10 at the end of 3Q.
