NDA made the journey to Mercy McCauley and came away with a 3-1 victory.  Goals scored by Bain, Feldman and Clark.  First goal scored against NDA this season came as an own goal on an unlucky deflection.

Saturday night run down:

As stated NDA finally was scored on but still not by another team. I'm still saying clean sheet from opponents lol. Won 3-1

Highlands was a dog fight in 1st half scored on once again 2 set pieces. Corner kick into Broerings head and then another direct kick probably 35 yds out on a niffty play that had Broering drill the ball in bottom right corner. Halftime was 2-2. Then 2nd half defense firmed up the magnificent Soph duo of Cavacini and Smith made some nice connections to get a goal each from each others assist. Nice win in the blazing HEAT!

Shocker of the day was Dixie tripping up against Conner tying them 2-2. Wasnt expecting that at all.

Finally we have NCC and Simon Kenton ending as a 1-1 draw. I'm sure SK was happy to stop losing.

I got some work to do on Monday on the Top 10. First 3 are set, next 7 is going to take some thought.

Till then have a great night and day tomorrow!

Some added results that may provide a bit of context as more games get played and teams have common opponents:

Lex Cath - Win over Dixie 3-2, L to Sacred Heart 0-1, L to South Oldham 2-4

South Oldham - 3 solid wins over Lex Cath, SK, and Paul Dunbar (who beat Dixie), and only loss to NDA

Assumption - W over Ryle 1-0, L to Highlands 2-4

Conner - 2 wins, 4 ties (Dixie, St. Henry, Brossart, and Oldham County), no losses.  Play Sacred Heart next!

Dixie - 2-2-1  - Close losses to Lex Cath and Paul Dunbar.  Seems like they are scoring, but also getting scored on a bit.

Ryle - two defensive struggles vs. NDA and Assumption.  Results look good but worth noting that they have a top goalie, however do not threaten much on offense.

Also worth noting, NDA's game vs. Mercy McAuley was interesting in that it was played on a small grass field, and as mentioned it was incredibly hot.  Difficult game to referee, with several yellow cards to players and coaches.  Nothing dirty, just VERY physical game.  Both teams constantly substituting due to the heat.  Thinking some results from this weekend might be heat impacted.
