McCracken County 5 Bowling Green 4 (Semi-State Playoff)

Featured Replies

BG’s Patrick Forbes provided some early fireworks with a 3-run bomb in the top of the 1st to aid the Purples (34-6) in a 4-0 lead. Jack Bennett put a charge into one in the bottom of the 6th to draw McCracken to within 4-2, before a dramatic B7 ended in a walk-off single to give the Mustangs (33-5) the come from behind win.

This was a battle between #4 (McCracken) and #5 (BG) in the final PBR Top 25. Exactly the type of competition you expect to see in a state tournament game between two of the state's best.

This was a great game, have to feel terrible for all the BG players, had a great season and just came up a little short.

Mustangs never gave up, that 3 run homer in the first inning would kill any chance for most teams, I even thought in that moment the season was over against a team of Bowling Green's caliber. Unreal
