May 28, 20215 yr Reds wrap up this short road trip with 3 in the Windy City. Cincinnati has deck stacked against them, as Cubs are the hottest team in the division right now, having won 4 in a row, 8 out of last 10, and 15 of last 21. Reds are starting to resemble a MASH unit and are looking for healthy bodies everywhere. Vladimir Gutierrez gets the call up and the start tonight. Hopefully the wind isn't blowing out tonight, and he's able to surprise the Cubs with his stuff. Reds offense will likely still be asleep in this first one, after having to travel last night after playing a double header in DC.
May 28, 20215 yr Author Gutierrez had allowed just 1 through 5. Reds have out hit the Cubbies, but have yet to dent the plate.
May 29, 20215 yr See Garret came in and gave us what he has all year!! Just pathetic!!! This team is like somebody standing in quicksand, slowly sinking out of sight!!!
May 29, 20215 yr Man, as I previously posted, I like Garret's passion for the most part but he is starting to wear out his welcome with me a little. Just a little undependable at the moment. Of course, Redlegs woes aren't all on him.
May 31, 20215 yr Author Mahle is starting to act like the ace on this staff. Goes 5 strong, only allowing 2 base runners. Reds offense finally get things going, as they win 5-1. They end the short road trip 3-3, although it felt like they only won a couple.
