Congratulations to Barnes! Anyone who watched him in high school is not surprised. Great athlete. In 2016 he almost single handedly beat a Beechwood team that went on to win a state championship.

Barnes had 17 carries for 250 yards and two touchdowns with 8 1/2 tackles on defense in that game in 2016.

And if my memory serves me nearly all those carries were in the second half.

Barnes did have 64 on those on a TD dash in the 2nd quarter.  That was also the year of the two headed HC RB monster.  Xavier Abernathy also ran for over 100 yards and scored twice.  Final was Beechwood 40, HC 33.  It was quite a game.
