Fern Creek 58 Pleasure Ridge Park 56 (6th Region Quarterfinal)

Another district runnerup wins.

Beware of Tigers lurking in the tall grass.

Seriously, Schooler & Co. are gonna be a tough out.

PRP was up 15 mid 3rd Q.

Zee McCown was having his way early, but Fern Creek's depth and pressure wore him down.

PRP's Lavonte Harris was also very effective early, but rolled an ankle end of 2nd and wasn't the same rest of game.

Fern Creek went small most of second half and that seemed to work well.  PRP did a really good job of keeping FC out of the lane, but Jaden Rogers hit some BIG 3's in the second half to start the comeback.

Game was well-officiated, but play was allowed to be physical until last 3 min then refs started calling everything.  Didn't really seem biased, but did hurt PRP a couple of times down stretch.  Last foul that put FC line with 8 sec left looked like a super clean strip by PRP's Nevin White - but PRP took some tough shots down the stretch and shouldn't have been in that situation.

Fern Creek will be a tough out - their experience of being in big games showed last night; they didn't panic when down and made big shots.  While Rogers hit the big shots, Darian Lewis and Jaden Schooler were the two guards that gave PRP trouble slashing during the comeback.  When you have players with the talent of TJ Toney and C Warren only playing spot minutes (at least last night) - you have a DEEP roster.
