St. Henry 73 Walton Verona 29 (All ‘A’ Classic - First Round)

Featured Replies

St Henry of the 9th Region traveled to Walton tonight to face off with the 8th Region Walton Verona Bearcats in the first round of the revised All ‘A’ Classic State Tournament.

The Crusaders jumped out to an 11-0 lead and never looked back as that was just about all she wrote. The Bearcats were just no match as St. Henry dominated in every facet of the game.

At the end of 1 it was St. Henry up 24-6

At the Half St. H 38-15

At the end of 3 St. H 63-27

Final 73-29

Both Vieth and Bessler sat most of the 2nd period in a little bit of foul trouble, but the game was completely in hand, so I think Coach Faust was just giving them a break.

I had to laugh because the camera man was sitting on the WV side, and there were a couple of fans who were quite audible and in close proximity who kept complaining about thinking a foul should’ve been called on the Crusaders on just about every play even though the first half saw St. H having 9 fouls called on them to WV’s 2.

With a secure lead, Coach Faust played the reserves for the entire 4th quarter.

No let down there! Way to dominate Cru

Thought it might be a little closer the way Walton can shoot the ball. Nice win Cru!!
