Not a very pretty game.  Lots of standing and no inside post play.  Freshman Anna Hamilton led scoring with 14 points.  Freshman Aubrey Fisher dishes out three, 3s in the third to help get the win for the Lady Cougars.  Conner will take on Boone tonight.   

SK seems to be struggling to start the year....what's the scoop in Independence?  

Injuries?   Lots of new players getting acclimated?

I think it is a combination of things.  The overall talent level is down compared to recent years.  Webb has yet to play a game.  I would assume injury, but not sure.  They're also young as multiple freshmen are getting some time.

Webb is out due to knee injury. I believe it will be all or at least most of the season.  They are very young and will be a couple years to get back to really competitive play.  They have a good 7th & 6th grade class developing possibly, until then it could be some struggling times for SK.
