Wolfe county probably has the best boys team in school history!! And remember the name Wilgus Tolson because he’s one of the best point guards in Kentucky. They’ve also got one heck of a shooting guard with Jazz Johnson. Sure hope they get to play.

The Wolves are definitely one of the 14th region top teams. They return all but one player off last year’s region runner-up team that lost in the championship game to Hazard in overtime. I think one key to their chances of getting to Rupp will be how far the 6’5 freshman player (I think his last name is Ritchie)  who saw a lot of action last season progresses this year. They are very skilled at guard play and that’s their strength. Excellent shooting team.

I completely agree!! Richie is one of the best freshman’s in the state and if he has matured physically enough to compete inside with players, such as, McGuire from Knott, then Wolfe has an outstanding chance of making it to the sweet 16.

Wonder why Estill and Wolfe aren't playing each other this season? Estill updated their schedule on KHSAA and to my surprise no games with Wolfe. Granted they left several games off including the Berea tournament.

They may end up on the schedule before the season begins. That’s always a great game.

I noticed on KHSAA’s schedules that Owsley County isn’t on Wolfe County’s schedule. Those two were once in the same district until 2006 and played twice or more a season. Since the district change they have played at least once per season.
Of course, the schedules may still not be completed.
min my opinion Wolfe County could very well be the number 1 rated regional team when the season gets under way.

I hope Coach Creech and Wolfe win the region this year. Pulling for them hard. If they don't win it this season, they may not ever win it.

Yesterday the coaching staff measured Skylar Richies height at 6’8-1/4”. Sawyer Thompson could very well be the top junior in the 14th region. By mid season I can see Wolfe could as being a top 25 team in the state.
