Wow....that's uncommon for Bush to miss anything baseball related. Played summer and fall ball with him and he even went to Florida for a winter tournament. If he wasn't at weights, there must be a good reason.

I don't think he went to one weight session, i don't know how many good reason's you could come up with, i think the kid is a great talent, but his work ethic is to be desired. I played with him also, not in summer, but at Scott. When it comes to games and practices he shows up, but he has not been a regular in the off season conditioning.

Can agree with you on the outfield starters for Scott. However the rest except at 1st base with Adams could be up in the air. Catcher Steuart is a good defensive catcher but struggles at the plate. Someone told me he didn't even hit at the JV Level last year. I believe the Bianchi kid who is a Junior is better hitter but so so defensively. Maybe Steuart can catch and Bianchi can hit don't know if this is possibility or not Coach Roberts and his staff will have some decisions to make evrywhere else in the infield also. I believe a Major League coach once said positions are earned every year and not just a given in most situations.

What does Montgomery have?

I competley agree, but if you see my post, i said that should be the starting line-up, but if seniors don't produce there will be changes, and i am intrested to see how you think the in-field should look, I know Hankinson can back up adams at first and bush and ryan in the outfield when they pitch, and Taylor Smith and Nick Hiller may see back up roles in the out field as well. I think the catchers postion is steuarts to lose, and i think the left side of the infield is locked up with Bitter and Wagner. I am intrested to see who plays 2b because both iwashi and adkins can play, adkins was called up as a back up as a soph. last year, both are great defenisvly, streaky at the plate, but both have good plate discpline. I don't think you could go wrong with either.

Also who else will do you think will do the pitching this year with Adams, Bush, and Ryan.

I think Adkins will be in the rotation. Hiller and Smith will probably see some innings along with Matt Ross. Other than that I really don't know if there is anyone else that can help at the Varsity Level. I heard that Lingard is not coming back to play and also the LaBarge kid is not coming back. Who knows maybe Coach Roberts and his coaching staff might have a new kid to the program try out this year that is a good pitcher, or maybe they can make someone else into a pitcher we will see.

Thats what i was thinking, Lingar would of helped this year but i am not all impressed with Labarge, so i dont think he will be a big lost.

Scott starting rotation should go Bush, Adams, Ryan, Ross, Adkins...

C- Steuart

1B-Adams

2B-Adkins/Iwahashi

SS-Wagner

3B-Bitter

OF-(Depending who is pitching) Bush, Castleman, Ryan and Ross

Alot of sophomores will be there to back up

I don't think we will be seeing much of Ross in the outfield, but will see him in the rotation, maybe not as a starter, but he will eat up some innings, and will spot start in the out field. I think Hankinson, Hiller, and Smith will be battling for the fourth outfield spot.

I wouldnt be suprised if i saw Ross somewhere in there. He has been unoticed by many because of his illness his sophomore year and was set back for his junior year. He worked alot over the summer and in the fall.

What do you think of Scotts chances at being District Champs and taking out Brossart this year?

Scott has a shot at winning districts, but Brossart is the team to beat in the 37th, they return a lot, from the district champ team from last year. I think we will see Ross on the mound and from time to time in the outfield and I would guess a lot of the eagles worked a lot over the summer and fall.

Not going to happen!!!! Brossart has the top pitcher and catcher in the district. They also play solid defense and they put the bat on the ball. Toughest district in the region by far!!! Scott is going to have thier hands full with CCHS this year. Silver Grove and Calvary will be better then you think!! Pelle is a ball player and not just in basketball!!!!

I disagree with that, but it will be a dog fight between the top three. If you think Brossart is going to walk away with it easily you are sadly mistaken.

But Pelle can play ball on the court and on the diamond.
