Lincoln County vs Pulaski County could have very well been the championship game in another version of the draw but now we have it as the first game of the tournament. What a way to start.

Danville, the second strongest district runner-up, draws who possibly is the weakest district winner in Wayne County.

I’ve said it all season long and I will say it again, this region is wide open. I think the following is how I would rank the teams based simply on best chance to win the tournament.

1) Somerset

2) Lincoln

3) Pulaski County

4) Danville

5) West Jessamine

6) Wayne County

7) East Jessamine

8) Southwestern

I like Lincoln Co. vs. Somerset in the final. I could easily see Pulaski Co. there for Lincoln Co. This is a wide open tournament, and every team should feel like they have a great shot IMO.

Based on the brackets I would guess the winner of LINCOLN/Pulaski will play Somerset in championship.

Excitement is building for this bracket. All these teams are capable of getting on a roll in the tourney. It all comes down to matchups and who can get shots to fall. Can’t wait to watch them tip it up!
