Game was never really close after the first quarter. BG just dominates tonight.

I mentioned in my postseason preview that Greenwood allows an average of 60 PPG, and were not likely at all to beat Bowling Green allowing that many. They've only won six times against Bowling Green when they let them get 60 or more. 77 was well above that - their most allowed this entire season. You are not going to beat Bowling Green when you give up that much. This Greenwood team was not nearly as defensively sound as the Gator teams we've become accustomed to, and it destroyed them tonight. Bowling Green got pretty much whatever they wanted.

 

This guarantees the 24th year in a row that either Warren Central or Bowling Green will win the 14th District. Bowling Green is going for their seventh consecutive district title on Friday.

Honestly, I thought the game would be a bigger battle. Other than Greenwood going on a late run in the 4th.. BG’s tempo was just too much for the Gators. They were able to win with Buttry only having 3 points! Mason and Cooper combined for 51 pts last night! I believe the Purples looked like they stepped up their game from the week before.

Probably the FIRST game that EVERYONE pulled their part. Whether it was rebounding, blocking shots, smothering defense or scoring ... They just took care of business! Most unselfish game they have played!

With the exception of unnecessary substitutions, IMO, BG looked like a top contender. I don’t believe in messing with chemistry when it’s clicking... but hey.. that’s why I’m not a coach!
