Max preps has the Anderson County game score wrong for the game against Rockcastle. Max preps has them winning yet they loss that game Rockcastle won 59-51. Max preps has Anderson winning by a lot 63-27. Anderson overall record is 25-5 and max preps has them at 23-4. Not real sure how accurate there rankings are for girls basketball nothing like it is for football year in and out. If they have that wrong I just wonder what else is wrong within there rankings?

With so many more basketball games than football, there are bound to be errors. CalPreps/MaxPreps Football is usually spot on, as you said, and I spend a lot of time on their site.

As I understand it, MaxPreps basketball relies on volunteer scorers for a fair (?) amount for their data entries. After that, the rankings are entirely computer generated. Anyone can register and become an "official scorer." There is no staff of "fact checkers." And even with the Tuesday and Friday updates, team records seem to lag behind.

I submitted the OP for context, maybe to compare to the KHSAA RPI? MP also ties into out of state games and gives them, I think, fair weight as opposed to our RPI. I felt the MaxPreps release today was much more accurate than the latest AP poll.

All that said, state your case. Should The Rock be ranked above the teams in front of them?

All of the top 25 that have begun District play have advanced.

#7 Butler meets Doss in a D22 round 1/semifinal tonight.

#22 North Laurel plays Red Bird in a D49 round 1/ semifinal tonight.

Input in equals input out.

Bad input equals bad data.

The KHSAA RPI would be screwy if scores (W/L) were reversed or if teams confused Madison Central with Madison Southern or Madisonville-North Hopkins.

Can't really say AP is all that awesome when Lexington Christian (8-22) is getting top-10 votes.

And KHSAA RPI does not include out of state or point differential (so a last-second buzzer beater at home counts the same as running clocking someone on the road):
