I talked to an Owsley player from that year’s team and he said he remembered that Hazard shut them out but wasn’t sure of the score. He thought maybe 7-0 but it appears it was 9-0. He said they only got one player to third base. But being region runner-up was a major accomplishment for the Owls, marking the first time to reach that far.
