Commonwealth high school basketball is heading into the last month of the regular season. I’ve seen a handful of these players on live streams. Others, I’m only aware of through BGP member postings. Some of these players surprised me as being their region’s leading scorer.

 

*Each player listed above is within the “Top 50” scorers overall, with the exception of Warren Central’s Boyd.

Sorry, they've been neck and neck most of this year. I just figured after Scotty's 14 on Tuesday, Vinson overtook him.

Lyon County's Travis Perry can't be far behind Gaither in the 2nd region. Perry is an 8th grader and has already eclipsed the 1,000 point barrier.

Looking at that link, Perry is actually ahead of Gaither in the 2nd region scoring.

Travis Perry can flat out score. That's for sure. If he stays healthy and keeps improving, Ty Rogers' s scoring record at Lyon County is very much in danger. I'd go so far as to say, that he may be looking at an even bigger spot on the all-time scoring list in the state.
