South Laurel 105 Whitley County 55

Colonels take another tough defeat. One has to admire the team for playing very hard tonight in a very unpleasant situation. Prayers for the players, family and community of the basketball program. Here's to a fast and complete recovery for the accident victims. One has to remember there are much more important things in life other than basketball games.

The Colonels only had what....10 guys dressed? To go out and play hard and not back down is a testiment to the kids. Hey it is still better than last years effort.

Does anyone have any stats from the game.

They dressed nine players and they looked pretty good in the first quarter.

Profitt had 30 for South so he must have shot the ball well. If he and Hammonds are making shots South is almost unbeatable. Gilbert is a fine looking freshman as well. I bet North hated to see him switch sides of town.

North really did hate to see Gilbert transfer to South. He is going to be a very solid basketball player.

Why did he transfer?

I have heard through the grapevine, but I will leave that answer to some of the North Laurel fans.
