North looked listless for most of the game and Woodford took advantage.

Halftime tied at 31.

Woodford took control by outscoring North Oldham, 19-10, in the third quarter. The Jackets expanded the lead to 14 midway through the fourth. The Mustangs were able to chip the lead down to 8 with around 3 minutes to play, but could get no closer.

Anthony Tabor was a dominant force for Woodford, hitting threes, penetrating for soft runners in the lane, and getting the ball to his teammates in scoring position. Pretty much was the driving force that won the game for Woodford. Penn really wasn't a big factor in the contest for Woodford.

Tyler Higdon had a solid game for North; the Mustangs' hottest player over the last four games - during which he scored at least 23 points in each game - had 14 on 7 of 13 shooting. But he probably didn't get enough touches in the game; he showed an ability to drive on the Woodford bigs early, but Woodford was able to deny him the ball much of the night. The lack of paint touches also negatively impacted North's outside game, as the Mustangs never really got the inside-out action going.

Rico Carr-Cole, a sophomore guard, came off the bench to lead North with 17 points.

A major factor in the Woodford win tonight was their dominance on the glass.

North Oldham freshman forward Ian Higdon was upended when going to basket in the fourth quarter and did not return with an apparent back injury.
