Per Courier-Journal.com, Coach Preston King resigned today as head football coach of the Warriors. Coach King has also held head coaching positions at Valley and Iroquois. He is planning to join the staff of North Harrison HS (IN).

Who is in line for this job? Will administration look outside the building, or will either top assistant - Jason Benning-Wyatt and Konnor Baker move up?

Western is a very tough job. King had success his first year, and then struggled to get players to come out the next two. It also doesn’t help that they moved up to 5A. A move to 3A would’ve would’ve made more sense. Good luck to whoever gets the job.
