Looks like someone slowed the game down..guessing WC...nice win against a good team..both teams looked to have been offensively efficient.

Fantastic game. Warren Central simply could not get the threes to go down, which is uncharacteristic of them. They came out shooting well in the first quarter, and then it didn't matter if it was open or contested, it simply didn't drop from outside. Credit South Oldham, they always made the play when it was needed. The last time Warren Central had the ball with a chance to take the lead was at the end of the third quarter, down 50-49. They attempted to hold for the last shot, and turned it over, leading to a South Oldham layup. It was never closer than three after that point. A backbreaker came at the start of the fourth, as South Oldham got a layup plus a foul, followed by a Brents technical. While South went only 1/3 from the line, they scored a basket on the ensuing possession, moving their three point lead to eight. I felt like about 3 out of every 4 loose balls that Central deflected just seemed to go to just the wrong spot where South could hustle back to get it.

Ultimately, I think both teams should feel very good about the game. South Oldham played well against a top team, as did Central. Central has dropped two games in the last four, both to top 20 caliber teams on the road. It's good to get tested by that environment, and while Central came up short in both, it wasn't due to the pressure of the moment.

This game was a lot of fun to call. Both teams shot well overall, and we got a preview of how they would react to post-season caliber intensity and competition.

Either team could have walked away with the "W" - the largest lead was an 8 point lead for South Oldham.
