Also of note is Combs the Corbin freshman quarterback threw for 448 yards against a Wayne County team that knew that he had to throw to get Corbin back into the game after falling behind by a score of 35-7. Corbin managed to get the score to 49-43 with about 7 minutes remaining and driving in Wayne County territory when a Combs pass was deflected at the line of scrimmage and intercepted as a result.
