That was also the score at halftime.

Warren Central’s losing streak has now reached 45 games. The sun will shine on them again someday, but I no longer have hope for an impending end. Just brutal.

I thought back to back with Monroe and Russellville might get the Dragons a win but alas.

If those are the first two games instead of the last, IMO they win both. They lost Dre Boyd halfway through the season due to elbow troubles, and never recovered.

Frankly, that's just been how it goes for Central during this streak. Pretty much everything that could break against them, has. And when it doesn't, unfortunately, they just aren't good enough to take advantage.

Let’s give a little credit to Russellville. They only have 2 starting seniors (with a total of 52 seniors in the whole school), and their leading running back and leading tackler did not play tonight because of injuries.

Russellville’s win/loss record has been ugly this year- but they are a small school with a young team.

Better days will be ahead for Warren Central. I know they played a ton of young kids this year. The streak will end. The short term question is are they building numbers at Moss and in the young groups. The long term question for 2021-2022 is when these young kids get older can they get to compete with G’wood, East, AC-S, Logan, R’ville and pull off a winning season to build momentum for a real turnaround. I sure hope so. I hate that I’m even about to say this but I think it’s in the best interest of the program to end the series with BG. It’s not even a rivalry anymore and the game is a disservice to the kids at Central. That is one more possible winnable game that can be put on the schedule for those kids.
