The official brackets have been released by the KHSAA listing district match-ups. Teams to be in-filled once the regular season has wrapped up on Friday.

Class 5A Bracket (Top Half)

Class 5A Bracket (Bottom Half)

Round Three Matchup:

Winner of District 5 (Cov Cath/Conner/Highlands/Cooper) vs. Winner of District 6 (Frederick Douglass/Scott County/Montgomery County/Great Crossing)

Round Three Matchup:

Winner of District 5 (Cov Cath/Conner/Highlands/Cooper) vs. Winner of District 6 (Frederick Douglass/Scott County/Montgomery County/Great Crossing)

Don't think that's correct. Round 3 is the beginning of the RPI match-ups in the East (1-4) and West (5-8).

So while District 5 could play District 6 in the 3rd round, it's not set in stone.

I agree with colonel-fan, don't think FD and Covcath would meet in round 3, they will probably be the top 2 in RPI rankings. If they keep winning, then I assume they would meet in state championship game.

Ahhh, okay, okay, okay. Ha, I knew I should have spent more time than I have reading about the way the RPI revisions work.
