Russell 30 Ashland 0 (Frosh)

Featured Replies

A comprehensive victory for the Red Devils. I can't remember the last time we had a Kiwanis Bowl that was up for grabs late in the game. Russell rolled this year. Ashland rolled last year. Russell won comfortably in '16 and '17. Ashland won a blowout in '15, and Russell won a few in a row before that, all blowouts or comfortable wins. I hate to complain after a big Russell win, but it would be nice to have a nail biter every now and then.

Russell MVPs: Logan Lundy (offensive), Carson Patrick (defensive)

Ashland MVPs: Jules Farrow (offensive), Isaiah Ingram (defensive)

Any final stats for Lundy? Sounds liken he's going to be a really good qb.

No final stats were given. They'll probably be available in the Daily Independent tomorrow. Russell didn't throw it much in the second half, though, so his halftime numbers were probably close to his final line. He's got the tools to be a great one and a great looking supporting cast around him.

ADI says Lundy was 7-19 for 254. 3 TD, 1 INT. We’ll be reading that name in the paper a lot over the next 3 years.

When it's his time, we might see Russell air it out in ways that are unprecedented for that program.
