Open Job: Lexington Catholic

Wondering what the hold up is on Lexington Catholic hiring a new girls basketball coach. Most teams are already having open gyms and conditioning.

I heard Champ Ligon may be coming back to Lexington.

I’d ask how reliable the source but I’m sure I’d get the following. “Very reliable but can’t say” , “I talked to him personally” or “He was seen playing golf with their AD.”

 

So I guess we will just have to wait.

I's say fairly reliable. I know Champ is not coaching in Louisville and is a graduate of Lexington Catholic. But you right. Wait and see.

Don't be surprised if current assistant coach Lee Tegt gets the job. He is a good young coach who is well liked. The combination of him with long time assistant Tony Talbott would be a great combo. Tony has been on the bench as top assistant for several of Lexington Catholic championship teams and knows the game.

That would not be a bad look at all. Didn't Tony use to be the head coach? He does know the game.
