54th District Draw

2018/19 54th District Draw was held this morning. Games will be played at Perry County Central. Looks like Buckhorn is the host according to the district manager on KHSAA?

 

2/19 - Hazard vs. Leslie County.

2/20 - Perry County Central vs. Buckhorn.

Good to see Perry and Hazard avoid each other in the first round. The region tournament needs both teams there. However we have seen in the past there no guarantees in the 54th.

What's going on with the site situation? The district manager that's listed on KHSAA shows Buckhorn's Corey Hoskins as the district manager but the site location is John C. Combs Arena at Perry County Central. Does this mean Buckhorn is the host?

Some times smaller schools don't have gyms big enough to handle the crowds even though they are the host school. So they play at a bigger gym (in this case Perry Central) but they provide ticket takers, concession workers, game managers, etc.

Correct. Buckhorn is the host. All games will be at PCC.
