Ratings for state playoff teams

Featured Replies

Who would you put them in front of ?

I would put them at #2 behind Danville.

Personally, I don't see how they could put anyone over BG...Not that I think they're unbeatable, but, they've proven to be #1 until someone else beats them...Possibly because there district is weak with exception of WEast, but, there Non-district schedule was strong with WCentral and St X

The only people that have proven to be #1 until someone beats them are the defending champions in each class. You can argue all you want about what teams should be where in the rankings, but the only ranking that matters comes out in 3 weeks.

I would put them at #2 behind Danville.
With a 28-0 loss to another Class A team?

I can see them in the top five or six, but not at #2.

I can see your logic...I don't know that I agree with it, but, I see where you're coming from...Many, including myself, felt Bardstown was the team to beat and with Bethlehem beating them, they could make the argument that they beat the #1 team and there record is as impressive as anyones. I would say NCC could make the same argument by beating Beechwood, who, many others felt was the team to beat..There record is less impressive, but, they are the defending champs and played a brutal schedule which would make up the record difference...I know some others who feel there teams are being a little short changed, but, the good news is, you don't have to wait long to prove the doubters right or wrong...

That logic might work in a poll, but not in a rating system. The win last week doesn't supercede what happened in the previous weeks, it's only added to the mix.
