Racelnd's QB Scott Grizzle

Featured Replies

There was a very nice article in todays Ashland Daily Independent on Raceland QB Scott Grizzle. The article was based on what an athlete that his kid is. More importantly it mentioned what a person and leader he is on and off the field. Scott mentioned in the article that all the Raceland players were "family" and "brothers" and they have "Brothers" in marker on their cleats for tonights game with LCA to remind them that it takes 11 on the field working as one to succeed. In a post game talk with the Ram players last week after the Paris playoff win he told his temmates "guys, we are where we wanted to be and expected to be but we are not done yet!" He mentioned his teammates and again stated how it is a "Team" at Raceland and nort just one or two players. Scott mentioned that their goal of course was to go well beyond tonights game. "we have a lot to show and we are out to earn some respect". Some of Scott's career stats are: has thrown for over 25td's in each of the the last three seasons / has thrown for 6,014 yards and 77 td's in three seasons / Has a 22-11 as a starting QB at Raceland. I just wanted to give a Raceland kid some credit and well deserved respect. Scott is also a standout pitcher for the Raceland Baseball Team and imo has a future at the next level in baseball should he want to go that route along with football.

I have watched this kid play all sports since he was 8 years old. He was born to play QB, it has been his passion since he started playing JFL. Not only has he developed into one of the best QB's in the state but he is an even greater person & an excellent student. He is well respected by his coaches, teachers and team -mates. Scotty has worked his tail off to be the player he is today. He has put in countless hours of extra work and attended summer camps his whole career so he could help his team. The article was well deserving. I have enjoyed watchng him play and I wish him well at the next level.

Good luck Scotty!!!!:thumb:

I saw him play in the playoffs last year. He is very talented and by all accounts a very nice young man. I wish him well against the Breds this week.
