Wayne Estopinal, CEO of TEG Architects and arguably the man chiefly responsible for bringing professional soccer to Louisville, died in a plane crash in Indiana today.

 

Estopinal was part owner of USL's Orlando City SC and when Orlando City moved to MLS, Wayne knew a place that would be PERFECT for Orlando's vacated spot in the league.

 

He and the other local business leaders who banded together to form Louisville City FC in 2015 created something truly special in Louisville. He will be missed.
