November 15, 20187 yr My cousin and her husband are taking their newborn twin girls home from the hospital later today. Firstborn kids. I don't envy how damn nervous they're going to be on the drive back from the hospital in all this ice.

When we had that ice storm here in Richmond in 2009 I was at the hospital with my wife because she had outpatient surgery. The power flickered at the hospital. But 30 minutes after we got home we lost power for six days.
