We are currently taking nominations for the BGP/KNN player of the week! The player of the week can be from any team and is based on game performance from this weekend.

Hey folks--it's been great using all the nominees (last year) week after week on the show, and we'll continue to use them for the foreseeable future. I wanted to remind you of a couple things. When you nominate a player, I need his height, weight, and class designation (Freshman, Sophomore, Etc). I also need the stats to be correct. Just telling me it looked like he ran for over a hundred yards won't do it. Please include all pertinent numbers like carries, pass attempts, completions, yardage gained, number of tackles--you all understand what I need. Otherwise, I have to track these numbers down. Not that I mind doing the legwork, but I normally save this part of the show for last, so I can take nominees until the last possible hour, so I just don't have the time to look it all up. I'll usually pull the information from here by Thursday afternoon, so try to have your candidates nominated by about 2:00pm Thursdays. I couldn't be happier with the information you've all provided, and I'm looking forward to continuing our association with BGP!

Who was this past week winner?

Our KNN Scoreboard/BGP.com Player of the Week is Crittenden County sophomore Jeramie Sorina. Jeramie had 42 carries for 271 yards and touchdown runs of 9, 20, 30 and 25 yards as Crittenden beat Russellville

35-22.

Paris High School's Junior Travis Angel- 6'/220

Returned a 79 yd touchdown on a fumble recovery untouched (paris-raceland)

Had 10 tackles

Bardstown's junior halfback Kelvin Scott carried 13 times for 112 yards and 3 TD's and caught a pass for a 99 yd. TD that tied a school record in Bardstown's first round 41-14 win over KCD. Scott now has 1,167 yds rushing, a 10.3 yds/carry average and 19 rushing TD's on the year.

Caldwell County sophomore quarterback Will Barnes completed 13 of 19 passes for 261 yards and four touchdowns in the Tigers' 45-7 win over Webster County. In the process, Barnes set Caldwell single-season records for passing yards (1,831) and touchdowns (23).
