Ryle 12 Covington Catholic 7 (Frosh)

Great job Raiders. Two outstanding plays in a row near the end of a scoreless first half earn a hard-fought victory at CovCath. The second TD was SportsCenter worthy. CovCath tried a lateral pass on the kickoff after Ryle went up 6-0. The Ryle kickoff coverage defender saw what was happening and intercepted the lateral and coasted into the end zone. Rare play and fun to watch for Raider fans. Both teams played hard.

The Raiders deserve a lot of credit.

I thought CovCath played an uninspired first half and didn't have enough nickles in their pocket to finish the job in the second half.

Ryle has a really nice Freshman team.

It was good seeing you @StraightShooter and @paNDA and several other BGP members I am not going to call out by name.

Good to be there Ru. CovCath fake punt failure gave Ryle a short field for their first score. Then the lateral pass debacle. Two failed trick plays were keys to the Raider victory.

Congrats to the Raiders.
