Notes from the Playoffs, First Round

Featured Replies

Three of them won Friday

Glasgow (2A)

Campbell County (4A)

Woodford County (4A)

Last year, Christian County and Scott County were the only two #4s to advance out of the first round.

Something else that got me thinking. If a three or four seed wins this week, you would have a district champion that will play all of their playoff games on the road. Have to go back a while to find out the last time that happened.

Pretty interesting stuff, as usual, Scribe.

If Glasgow wins, they would definitely have to travel for all their games.

I may be reading it wrong, maybe you can help me out. The way I read it if either Woodford or Campbell could win two more games, their respective semifinal game(s) would be played at home, I think. Both of them are from even numbered regions.

True. Seeding doesn't matter once you get to the semifinals.

There were 11 games this week that were rematches from the last regular game of the season. There were three teams that won Friday after losing the previous week.

Glasgow beat Monroe County 28-21 after losing 19-0 the previous week

Metcalfe County beat McLean County 40-6 after losing 7-6 the previous week

Russellville beat Crittenden County 34-28 after losing to the Rockets 35-21 the previous week. Crittenden led by 14 points with eight minutes left and lost.
