Didn't the country have this same argument in the 60's when it was Communism instead of Terrorism?

Sure, I'll share.

I don't care which party the leaders of Islamic terrorism support in the upcoming elections.

I know that regardless of which party is in power, we will have to find a way to extricate ourselves from this disaster of a war that is solely Bush's making.

Nixon used the phrase "Peace, with Honor" in his '72 campaign for the Presidency. I think in about 18 months, we are going to see some variation of that theme used by the nominees from both parties.

I also know that what was once a relatively small group of people that were filled with hatred, and consumed by infighting within their own ranks is now a thriving movement being fueled by the stupidity, incompetence, and arrogance of the current administration.

I have to say that of all the people in this administration, I do have tremendous respect for one. Rove is in a league of his own.

Hey! This sharing is pretty fun!!

If you'd like me to share some more, just ask me how I feel about Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld!

Your pen pal,

Frances

Thanks for the kind offer, but the thread topic involves which party Islamic terrorist leaders believe that Americans should vote for, presumably because one party's policies would be more favorable to their own. You say you don't care. I do care and I believe that the answer obvious.
Why can't you "eviscerate" his point without getting suspended.
The use of the phrase "a little logic" is an open invitation for a response that would, without a doubt, result in my supsension.

You're dodging his point because you know he is correct.
I am not doding his point. I have clearly stated that I do not care which party the leaders of the terrorists support. The point is moot. Also, please do not presume to tell me what I know. These types of statements are what leads us into personal attacks and the resulting disciplinary actions. If they continue, I will simply report the post as being intended to provoke a personal attack.

Everyone knows who these guys would rather have in power.
And other than a select few, no one cares.

The Dems are conveniently dodging this issue.
There is no issue. If we were to find out that all of the nuns in Spain supported Bush, should that have an impact on this election? How about plastic manufacturers in Upper Volta? I wonder where the allegiances of farmers in Queensland Australia lie?

... And one of the reasons I cringe at the thought of Dems getting control of our government.
Isn't that odd. I cringe at the thought of us losing another 5,000 to 10,000 soldiers in a far away land that isn't going to simply join us as world leaders in the implementation of a democratic, open society. I don't even want to think about the men and women that will be maimed, yet still alive. I also cringe at the idea of leaving people in power that don't listen to what the people of this country have to say...

Yes, it did.

The fight against the spread of Communism (the Domino Theory) is what we were fighting for in Vietnam.

"Those that do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it."

We were told Communism would take over our country without a shot having been fired. Many thousands have been killed already by terrorists who openly state they want to kill us all. Quite a different matter, as much as the Dems are wanting to connect the war on terror with Vietnam.

So basically, the polls conducted in America, showing that the majority of adults in our nation do not think the war is worth fighting have no value, but the opinions expressed by terrorist leaders are to be considered when voting.

Interesting point of view. I never thought of having our pollsters conduct a poll in Iraq, so that we could vote based on what the mood of the terrorists is at that point in time...

Totally false statement. Please provide a link to a poll that states the majority think the war "is not worth fighting."

The terrorists affection for Democrats is an indication that the War on Terror has been far more effective than most Democrats care to acknowledge. If the leaders of the terrorist vermin credibly claimed to back the incumbent party, then I would be more inclined to question its war efforts.

As for polls, they really do not shape my opinions. All I can do is analyze the available data and draw my own conclusions. If I am lucky, I might influence the opinions of a handful of friends and family. If I ever decide to retire, maybe I will just adopt the majority opinion, as reflected in the polls of the day, to maximize my available leisure time.

All I can do is analyze the available data and draw my own conclusions.
I would submit that examing ALL of the available data might be important.

I'll make you a deal. You continue to listen to the terrorists, and base your votes on them, and I'll listen to the polls that show what the majority of Americans

have to say. Best of luck.

As I said before, the majority will only be ignored for a short while. Eventually, you see things like one party being dominant for a forty year stretch.

Guess which party is quickly blowing it's opportunity to acheive that goal??

Frances

TOTALLY TRUE STATEMENT

Not that I expect you to accept the truth of it, but try this site:

http://www.pollingreport.com/iraq2.htm

"All in all, considering the costs to the United States versus the benefits to the United States, do you think the war with Iraq was worth fighting, or not?"

The latest result shows that 56% responded with "Not Worth Fighting".

The results have been consistently over 50% for more than two years now. The high was 62% (May of this year).

Rumsfeld is the master of saying something, and repeating it until he thinks that the rest of the world must also believe it to be true. Please don't fall into that trap.

This thread is not about me.:sssh:

Forty year strangleholds are a thing of the past. Whichever party is in power when the first Islamic-fascist lights up one of our major cities with a nuke will have a lot of explaining to do. My guess is that the party that fought Ronald Reagan's Strategic Defense Initiative (lovingly referred to by liberals as Star Wars) and railed against the development of any missile defense system will have a tough time coming up with satisfactory answers to the frightened survivors.

Unless more Democratic leaders begin to give national security and our troops the respect and attention that they deserve, you will not need to wait until you are an old woman to see the resultant fireworks. Both major parties need to purge themselves of the self-serving rascals who are unwilling to put party politics aside during wartime.

I am seriously concerned that our government could collapse with the detonation of a single nuke and I think the way that party politics are being played today, a bomb will lightup the landscape during my lifetime.

The poll asked "Given the costs and benefits, it the war worth fighting?' Not what you said. The liberal media blasts the costs over the airwaves 24/7, no one talks about the benefits...

That site you cite (ABC polls) is worthless to me, but it did say that a majority of the people thought the Iraq situation has contributed to the long-term security of the United States...You must have overlooked that one...

If you do not wish to believe the result of the polls, that is fine. From this point on, when you request something, I will simply ignore the request.

You asked for "a link to a poll that states the majority think the war "is not worth fighting."

I supplied a link to one poll (which is backed up by virtually every other poll that asks the same question) that demonstrated EXACTLY what you asked for. You are welcome to ignore, or intentionally misunderstand what the poll shows, but that is your choice - not mine.

Perhaps you could give me a link to a poll that backs up your claim - that the Iraq situation has contributed to the long term security of the United States.

billyrayjoebob does not need to give you a link to backup his claim. He already pointed out that the information that you are requesting is in the poll to which you linked.:D
