Game of the week in 5A. Both teams come in with matching 3-2 records. They've split the last eight meetings at four apiece dating back to 2007. Former CC QB Kolbe Langhi shredded Owensboro’s secondary for 310 yards and 6 TDs last year. Where will the offense come from this year? Can the Colonels muster enough to grab another win over the Red Devils, or will Owsley, Warren, and the rest of Owensboro's offense win the day?

Outside of the hickup vs Owensboro Catholic, the Devils have been pretty strong this season. I felt like they were a few slight mistakes away from making the Bowling Green game very interesting. Keep in mind this is a team running a completely new system offensively and while they are loaded with talent, it’s taken some time for everyone to get on the same page. Their defense is also pretty young in spots. It seems like they are getting a little better week after week. How close this game is, depends on how sharp they are coming off a bye. A lot of people see that as an advantage, getting 2 weeks to prepare but more often than not, I’ve seen it go the other way. I know Christian County is still a dangerous team but I don’t think they have enough fire power to stay with Owensboro.
