Wayne County moved to 3-2 with a 40-12 win over Harlan County last week. The Cardinals have losses to Frederick Douglass and Boyle County, two teams that are in the discussion for placement in the five best in the state of Kentucky regardless of class. So don't let the modest record fool you. No matchup with Clay County has been close since Wayne County entered the district in 2015, including a 49-20 decision last season. Clay County enters at just 1-3, and have failed to top 18 points in their three losses. Will Wayne County stay golden in district play?

Last season the Cardinals had control of the score the game, but Clay did a good job of controlling the ball. IF the cardinals don't take advantage of scoring opportunities or turn the ball over this could get interesting.
