The running clock streak may have ended, but CovCath (5-0) weathered some early heat from Beechwood to win going away, 49-14. The Colonels now turn their attention to a traditional power from Columbus, as they venture into enemy territory to face the St. Francis DeSales Stallions. The Stallions are 3-1, with their lone loss coming to fellow traditional Ohio power Cardinal Mooney by a point. CovCath beat DeSales 35-14 last season.

CovCath is 1-6 against SFD in 7 previous matchups.

I really just don't know enough about DeSales to make an educated statement about them. I think if they are fielding a team like last year's, I would fully expect Cov Cath to beat them by a touchdown or two....but I just don't know.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00pm, but I just checked a weather report for Columbus with an hour-by-hour forecast, and they expect heavy rain to start a little before 5:00pm and then develop into thunderstorms with damaging wind, wrapping up a little before 8:00pm. Things appear to clear up after that, so hopefully if worst comes to worst they just push back the kickoff.
